TTI, Inc., the global distributor of Passive, Interconnect, Relay & Switch and Discrete components, has named the winners of its annual Supplier Excellence Awards for 2010, which have become recognised in the industry for their detailed approach to measuring performance across several different criteria. Six suppliers met or exceeded the minimum points score required to achieve an award, with Murata scooping the top Platinum Level standard, Molex winning Gold, Bourns, Kemet and Phoenix Contact attaining Silver and FCI achieving Bronze.

Commented Geoff Breed, Vice President Marketing, Europe, TTI, Inc.: “These awards reflect the enormous contributions our supplier partners have made to the service that we are able to offer to our customers – for which we thank them deeply. Special recognition this year must go to Murata for amassing the highest points total and maintaining Platinum level status. With Molex achieving Gold status, Bourns, Kemet and Phoenix Contact Silver status and FCI bronze we would really like to congratulate their teams for their continued enthusiasm and commitment to our program across Europe. Many, many thanks.”

“In our 2010 program we introduced two new awards. The Diamond Award is presented to the supplier with the highest total score exclusive of special recognition points and the Best Quality Award is presented to the supplier who achieved the highest score in all of the Quality categories. Murata received both new awards in addition to their Platinum level award for 2010 performance, so extra congratulations must go to all employees of Murata. But we know that every company that compiles enough points to be included in our roll call of honours can only do so because of the outstanding efforts of their team members and we want to thank all the individuals involved for helping to drive our mutual success.”

On emerging as top-performing supplier with three awards, Terry Churcher Murata President, EMEA said: “We are proud to have maintained our top position for the seventh year in succession in one of the most stringent supplier evaluation systems in the world. I would like to emphasize that such results would not be possible without professional and dedicated teams within TTI and Murata and I would like to extend my thanks to all the people who made this happen. I am confident that the TTI – Murata combination will continue to ensure our mutual customers receive the very highest level of service and remain the most satisfied in the industry.”

Receiving the award for FCI, Ronald Velda, European Distribution Director, said: “We are so happy with this result, having achieved an award for the second consecutive time and in a very challenging year, which demonstrates the excellent relationship between our two businesses. We will continue to focus on our logistics and sales services and maintain the open communication style which characterises our company and which we believe will help bring us even greater future success in our design-in projects and business with TTI.”
