Indium Corporation Expert to Present at Virtual IPC APEX Expo

by donpedro

Indium Corporation’s Product Development Specialist Miloš Lazić will share his industry knowledge on thermal interface materials (TIMs) at the virtual IPC APEX Expo, to be held March 8-12.

 Miloš Lazić

For many years, metals have been used as thermal interface materials (TIMs) in the electronics industry. With high-reliability and high thermal conductivity, metals have been a great solution, especially for challenging applications. As electronic devices are continually getting smaller, consuming more power, and producing more heat, finding the right TIM becomes one of the top priorities in any application. In Solid Liquid Hybrid TIMs, Lazić will review the characteristics of solid liquid hybrids (SLHs), such as their low thermal resistance and low bondline thickness, and their benefits for certain high-end applications. He will also discuss the possible applications where SLHs can be used, as well as challenges that need to be overcome to encourage industry-wide adoption.

Lazić will deliver his presentation during the Electronics Materials track from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 11. Lazić’s presentation is free to all IPC APEX EXPO participants, and a recording will be available to registered attendees for up to 90 days after the expo.

Lazić provides technical support–including guidance and recommendations–to customers related to process steps, equipment, techniques, and materials. In addition, he delivers technical training to staff and industry partners. Lazić attended the University of Nis, Faculty of Electronic Engineering, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and master’s degree (M. Eng.) in electronic engineering. Lazić is a co-founder of the non-profit organization, “Urban Youth Forum,” which successfully encourages students to plan, develop, and execute projects involving environmental protection through the recycling of electronic waste.
