Maxim_embedded_world_2016_WEBAt the embedded world Exhibition and Conference in Nuremberg, Germany (February 23 – 25, 2016), Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. demonstrated highly integrated solutions that help system engineers to design better, faster and easier.

Demo highlights included highly efficient, low-power ICs or complete system solutions which greatly reduce power dissipation of embedded designs.

Among them are:
• The industry’s smallest IO-Link® Transceiver: Reduces power dissipation by more than 50% and enables the use of ultra-small sensors and smaller protection devices in industrial systems
• A new industrial smart force sensor solution: Built from Maxim’s multichannel ADC, this solution enables the design of industrial touchscreens that are insensitive to dirt, oil and moisture. Detecting both touch position and force, the sensor operates at low power.
• Full-bridge motor driver: Provides a small, low-power and simple solution for driving and controlling brushed DC motors up to 2.5A with voltages between 4.5V and 36V, featuring integrated over-current limit and thermal shutdown.
• Low-power wearable solutions: These include the industry’s first reference design for galvanic skin response, a foundation for many fitness and medical measurement applications.

Maxim demonstrated and displayed these and many more highly integrated, low-power solutions for embedded applications in Hall 1, Stand #370. In addition, the company gave away 200 free sample kits featuring industrial interface and isolation ICs ready for use in embedded designs.
