The TASKING VX-Toolset for Tricore/AURIX™ v6.3r1 and the VX-Toolset for ARM Cortex-M v6.0r1 have obtained TÜV certification. TÜV Nord confirms that the tools are suitable for the development of safety-critical software applications in industries such as automotive, agriculture, forestry and railroads. Both tools have been certified according to the safety standards ISO 26262:2018, ISO 25119:2018, EN 50657:2017 and IEC 61508:2010. Additionally, the VX-Toolset for Tricore/AURIX v6.3r1 has also been certified according to the cybersecurity standard ISO/SAE 21434:2021.

Users benefit from simpler and more cost-effective software development, as they do not need to acquire special skills and knowledge to qualify the tools. This allows them to bring their products to market faster and without the cost of additional certification processes. They also get improved quality of cybersecurity analysis and can reduce costs and lead times. This strengthens TASKING’s position as a one-stop shop for AURIX software development.

“As vehicles become increasingly connected, cybersecurity is becoming more and more important for OEMs and suppliers, along with functional safety. This also played a major role in the development of our AURIX™ microcontrollers,” said Stefan Tauche, Tool Partner Manager at Infineon Technologies. “With this certification, TÜV Nord confirms that the TASKING VX-Toolset for Tricore/AURIX v6.3r1, significantly reduces the qualification effort and costs for the user.”

“We are pleased that TÜV Nord has once again confirmed the qualification of our tools for the development of safety- and security-critical applications,” said Gerard Vink, Industry Specialist Product Definition at TASKING. “This means that customers can fully rely on our tools for the development of their applications in terms of functional safety and security.”

The TÜV certificates for the tools can be downloaded from the TASKING website. For the VX-Toolset for Tricore/AURIX v6.3r1, a combined Safety/Security Manual is now available – in accordance with the Cybersecurity certification.
