The TFT Graphic Displays with IPS technology from Electronic Assembly have stable contrast and all-round viewing angles that are usually only provided by OLED displays. They also are so bright that what they’re displaying can be seen clearly, even in bright surroundings.
Brilliant colours, extraordinary luminosity and extremely wide viewing angles: these are the key benefits of Electronic Assembly’s range of compact graphic displays with IPS panels. With these LCD (liquid crystal display) screens with IPS (in-plane switching) technology, the display remains sharp and high-contrast at wide viewing angles of more than 170° – something you’d usually only associate with OLED displays. However, with a maximum brightness of 1,000 cd/m², they are, by contrast, still clearly legible even in direct sunlight. As a result, these screens are ideal for use in outdoor measurement equipment and in medical equipment. Due to the simple control via SPI interface, the smaller displays from 2” off are compatible with all microcontrollers, and can replace older displays without any issues. Alternatively, they can also be controlled via a classic RGB interface, or an 8-bit or 16-bit data bus.
Electronic Assembly offers the graphic displays in various sizes, from 2” (EA TFT020‑23AINN) to 4.3” (EA TFT043‑42BITC). Even the smallest option has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, and is just 2.2 millimetres thick. Optionally, the screens can also be combined with a capacitive, multi-gesture touch surface. There are also 5”, 7” and 10.1” IPS displays. They provide resolutions of 800 x 480 pixels, 1024 x 600 pixels and 1,280 x 800 pixels.
As standard components, all IPS graphic displays are immediately available from stock in the long term. Designed for demanding continuous industrial use, these displays work reliably from -20°C to +70°C. Electronic Assembly guarantees a service life of at least 50,000 operating hours.
