The Microchip Technology RNWF02 early access development kit, available from Mouser, features the RNWF02 module, a low-power 2.4 GHz IEEE® 802.11b/g/n compliant, fully RF-certified wireless module designed for IoT applications. The kit’s wireless LAN module is easy to set up and connect to the cloud using simple text (ASCII) commands. The development kit facilitates rapid prototyping with a two-wire or four-wire UART interface to the host microcontroller using Microchip’s simple ASCII-based AT commands to dynamically configure the RNWF02 module for easy integration into most applications.
The RNWF02 early access development kit features an integrated power amplifier (PA), transmit and receive (TX/RX) switch with power management, immutable secure boot with hardware root of trust, strong security featuring WPA3 and TLS authentication, and encryption with embedded iPv6 TCP/IP stack support.
