High-performance computing
One focus of Kontron’s trade fair presence will be modules and evaluation carriers for the new COM-HPC® standard. The modules based on the COM-HPC® Client Size A and Size C form factor with 12th and 13th Gen Intel® Core™ processors offer combined graphics and computing power. The COM-HPC® Server modules with the Intel® Xeon® D-2700 processor are suitable for complex AI applications, high-performance network platforms as well as edge servers due to groundbreaking computing power and 100 Gbit Ethernet.
Scalable modules and boards
For the first time, Kontron will present Computer-on-Modules of all leading standards such as COM-HPC® and COM Express®, based on the latest, high-performance 13th Gen Intel® Core™ processor technology. In addition, the world’s first SoM with dual GbE LAN and TSN functionality will be introduced, combining all the advantages of the i.MX8M Plus processor and the new OSM (Open Standard Module™) standard in the smallest space of only 30 mm x 30 mm. Single-board computers and systems with Raspberry Pi for industrial applications are complemented by a new SBC and a system with the 4th generation Compute Module.
In addition to 2.5″ and 3.5″ SBCs with X86 and Arm® architecture, Kontron will be presenting an extensive motherboard portfolio consisting of Mini-STX, Mini-ITX, µATX and ATX. Designed and manufactured in Germany, the boards support 12th and 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i processors as well as AMD Embedded Ryzen™ V1000, R1000 and the latest R2000 processors. Visitors will also be able to take a first look at Kontron’s latest board development, based on the recently launched Intel® Core™ i3-N (codename: Alder Lake N) processor series. Matching SMARTCASE™ chassis kits will be available for selected motherboards, which will also be on display.
Scalable IoT edge computers and gateways
Kontron will also showcase scalable IoT edge computers and gateways based on the latest COMs, SBCs and motherboards with various performance classes from single-core Arm® processors to the latest Intel Atom® and Core i™ processors and server class performance. Application-ready platforms with AI accelerator chips from Hailo and converged networks (wireless, 5G, TSN) open up a wide range of application areas. Scalable solutions for Artificial Intelligence (AI) include all services from consulting, hardware/software development to the training of neural networks. Sophisticated HMI applications can be implemented using a wide range of industrial monitors and panel PCs with X86 and Arm® processors with various display sizes.
