IAR Systems supports new ultra-low-power MSP430 FRAM microcontrollers from TI

by donpedro

IAR Systems® announced that its software development toolsuite IAR Embedded Workbench® now offers a complete support for the recently released ultra-low-power MSP430FR57xx FRAM (Ferroelectric Random Access Memory) microcontroller series from Texas Instruments (TI). The new MSP430FR57xx FRAM series ensures data can be written more than 100 times faster and uses as little as 250 times less power than flash- and EEPROM-based microcontrollers. Because of their low power consumption and write endurance of over 100 trillion cycles, these devices will prove ideal for applications that require continuous data logging or operating on a limited power source like energy harvesting. “The new ferroelectric technology from TI is revolutionary. IAR Systems is committed to being in the forefront when it comes to supporting innovative technology. TI´s devices are in line with new thinking in energy saving, which is a very important market for IAR Systems” says Stefan Skarin, CEO and President, IAR Systems.
IAR Embedded Workbench offers a powerful toolsuite for energy saving systems, which makes it a perfect match for MSP430FR57xx microcontrollers.
