6915_N501_M402_HRESToshiba Electronics Europe has further extended its family of EXCERIA PROTM memory products with the SDXC N501 and microSDXC M402 cards. With strong characteristics for capturing 4K video these new cards will appeal to those wishing to capture professional grade images and video.

The EXCERIA PROTM N501 UHS-II speed class 3 (U3) [1]  series features new capacities of up to 256GB[2] and improved data transfer speeds, ideal for 4K video recording and continuous shooting. Optimised for professional use, the cards have a maximum write speed of 250MB/s and a maximum read speed of 270MB/s[3], delivering exceptional performance. The entire N501 series is X-RAY proof.

Featuring new capacities up to 128GB and read and write speeds of up to 95MB/s, the EXCERIA PRO microSDXC M402 product family comprises four cards designed for 4K video recording in the harshest and fastest situations. These cards meet UHS-I U3 ratings and are fully compatible with standard microSD card readers. The series also features an adapter that provides the user with a wide variety of use options. All members of the M402 family are shock, water, temperature and X-ray proof[4] to allow use in the toughest environments.

The shipment of the new EXCERIA PRO N501 SD memory cards and the microSD M402 series will start in Q1, 2017.

Notes:

[1] UHS Speed Class 3 certification guarantees 30 MB/s min. write performance for video recording on UHS-I and UHS-II interfaces. Speed Class 10 certification guarantees 10MB/s min. write performance for video recording on standard SD interface.

[2] One Gigabyte (1GB) means 109 = 1,000,000,000 bytes using powers of 10. A computer operating system, however, reports storage capacity using powers of 2 for the definition of 1GB= 230 = 1,073,741,824 bytes and therefore shows less storage capacity. Available storage capacity (including examples of various media files) will vary based on file size, formatting, settings, software and operating system and other factors.

[3] Read and write speeds may vary depending on reading / writing device and the file types and sizes being read / and or written.

[4] Waterproof (compatible with IPX7), shockproof (passed 5m drop test), X-ray proof (compatible with ISO7816-1), temperature (operating environment) -25°C to 85°C.
