E Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, will exhibit at the SPS exhibition this year, taking place in Nuremberg, Germany, from Nov. 26-28. The company is located at Stand 440 in Hall 10, focusing on its expertise in four application areas- control cabinet, servo drive, servo motor and robotics.
Control Cabinet
TE’S extensive product portfolio addresses the requirements specific to industrial control panels. TE offers industrial control solutions as part of a broader system integration service, or can fabricate and assemble control panels in-house when part of larger industrial equipment.
Servo Drive
Today`s digital technologies are key to enhancing the factories of tomorrow. The rising levels of automation and decentralization of industrial production present major challenges. Automation solutions need to be profitable — through longer operation windows, optimized energy efficiency and lower costs. Next-generation plants continue to move to the forefront of technological development and integration of the network. TE manufactured connectors and sensors have long been enabling increased connectivity, communication and innovation towards factory digitization and automation, while continuing to be at the forefront of technological development.
Servo Motor
Many industrial sectors already use servo technology to boost productivity and cost-efficiency. Further advances can be achieved through even faster, more precise feedback and control processes – possible through the interaction of servo motors and servo drives. Motors today are increasingly compact, yet house more functions than ever. Given the increased volume of data involved, it is essential to have reliable transfer connections that operate at the highest possible speeds. When internal data and power interfaces can be connected quickly, reliably and efficiently, productivity is increased and businesses grow.
Robotics
The range of applications that robots handle is expanding, so exact and reliable connectivity is crucial. TE`s technology expertise, extensive cross-industry experience and a creative approach, are critical in developing the precise products for robotics. The broad portfolio from industrial communications and power to motor connectivity solutions complemented with standard and customized cable assembly solutions meet the exacting demands for robotics of today and tomorrow.
“TE’s offering of highly engineered solutions which enhance the capabilities of industrial data-driven applications have an excellent stage at SPS 2019,” says Steffen Linder, TE’s Industrial business unit director of sales for the EMEA region. “TE will show how we can connect power, data and signal across all levels, and in all conditions, anywhere in the world.”
Product highlights
Product highlights will include the recently-introduced ruggedized X-Code M12 Field Installable, and modular heavy-duty connector modules with stamped and formed contacts in its Dynamic series. TE will also be discussing the establishment with several other suppliers of the Single-Pair Ethernet Industrial Partner Network.
The new X-Code M12 enables Installers and Machinery makers to establish a Cat6A connection termination error free and tool-less, faster than alternative standard data connector solutions. With only two parts, the latest TE Connectivity M12 X-code FI Connector is easy to install in the field without the chance of dropping parts into places where they cannot be recovered. The cable leads can be stripped at arbitrary length and can be terminated for optimal performance by the TE patented lever technology combined with the automatic wire cut off function integrated in the connector. This unique standardized tool-less connector series enables users to fasten assembly tome to the cable and cable braid.
TE’s Dynamic series heavy-duty connectors for industrial applications requiring high density, signal and power connections, ensure uninterrupted electrical connection and minimize possibility of failure caused by vibrations. They can be assembled using semi-automated or fully automated crimping processes, enabling stability of the assembly process and repeatability of the crimp itself.
Single Pair Ethernet Industrial Partner Network
As confirmation of its commitment to high-performance data connectivity, TE has come together with six other leading technology companies to establish the Single Pair Ethernet Industrial Partner Network to promote Single Pair Ethernet for the rapidly growing IIoT market. The Network builds on a cooperation between TE, Harting, Hirose, Würth Elektronik, Leoni, Murr Elektronik and Softing. The partnership supports the T1 Industrial interface according to IEC 63171-6 as a uniform MDI as defined by ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 25/WG 3 and TIA42. They will also jointly support standards for transmission protocols, cabling and device components.
In addition to the booth, TE experts will give presentations at the SPS speakers forum. Mark Maas, TE’s global digital factory leader, will provide a case study on “Digital Transformation,” while Daniel Walldorf, business development principal for TE’s Industrial business unit, will talk about “Enabling Digital Factory via Connectivity.” Maas will be present on Nov. 26 at 10:20 a.m. in Hall 3-668, while Walldorf will give his presentation at 4:40 p.m. on the same day in the Forum Hall 10.1.
