X2-Series Expansion Boards for Strato Pi Max: Now Available at a New, Lower Price
Sfera Labs is excited to announce a new, lower price for the X2-Series expansion boards designed for Strato Pi Max, the company’s flagship industrial Raspberry Pi-based modular controller for automation, IoT, and edge computing.
The X2-Series features 10 expansion boards, each providing specific connectivity and functionality to meet a wide range of application needs:
- Serial communications: RS-232, RS-485, RS-422, CAN
- Digital I/O: IEC 61131-2 compliant, 0-36 V digital inputs with advanced diagnostic, and configurable 640 mA outputs, galvanically isolated and powered via a dedicated 12–28 V supply
- Analog inputs: ±20 V voltage inputs, 0–20 mA current inputs, and Pt100/Pt1000 temperature sensor inputs, with a galvanically isolated front end; 5V-level digital I/O lines compatible with 1-Wire, Wiegand, and I²C; 5 Vdc protected auxiliary output
- Analog outputs: independently configurable 0–10 V or 0–20 mA outputs; 5V-level digital I/O lines compatible with 1-Wire, Wiegand, and I²C; 5 Vdc protected auxiliary output
- Power management: integrated UPS with internal super capacitors or external battery support
- Connectivity: LTE modem, with GNSS (GPS, Galileo) positioning
- Development board: for prototyping and custom designs
Thanks to its unique modular architecture, Strato Pi Max can host up to four X2-Series expansion boards within a compact 9-module DIN-rail enclosure. This combination of high integration density and exceptional flexibility allows users to build tailored solutions that fit complex automation or monitoring requirements – all while maintaining a standard industrial footprint.
