Mouser Now Shipping ROHM Semiconductor ML63Q25x AI-Equipped Microcontrollers for Automation, Robotics, and Smart Applications

Mouser Electronics is offering the ML63Q25x series of AI-equipped microcontrollers (MCUs) from ROHM Semiconductor. Designed for industrial automation, instrumentation, robotics, consumer electronics, and smart home systems, these advanced MCUs enable real-time, network-independent AI-based monitoring and predictive maintenance.

The ML63Q25x family performs on-device anomaly detection and learning before equipment failure occurs, improving system stability while reducing maintenance costs and line stoppages. Leveraging ROHM’s proprietary Solist-AI™ technology, these MCUs utilize a simple three-layer neural network algorithm to perform AI inference directly on the device, eliminating cloud connectivity requirements and mitigating latency as well as security risks.

All models integrate a 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M0+ processor, ROHM’s AxlCORE-ODL AI accelerator, and a variety of peripheral circuits, all while maintaining a low 40mW power consumption. This allows for flexible implementation across diverse environments and unit variations – even within the same equipment model.

Mouser also stocks ROHM’s RB-D63Q2537 and RB-D63Q2557 reference boards for evaluating the ML63Q25x MCUs. These boards enable software development, debugging, and FlashROM programming via an Arm debugger. In addition, users can monitor AI accelerator performance by connecting to a PC through FTDI’s USB to SPI interface (FT232H).
