Constanze Hufenbecher, member of the Management Board of Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) and Chief Digital Transformation Officer (CDTO), has informed the Supervisory Board that she will not extend her contract, which runs until April 2024, and will leave the company at the end of this period. The Supervisory Board has accepted her wish with great regret.
“Constanze Hufenbecher has done an outstanding job for Infineon as CDTO. We very much regret that the company is losing her as an important leader,” says Herbert Diess, Chairman of Infineon’s Supervisory Board. “Bundling the responsibility for Digital Transformation in a new Board department was an important and extraordinarily challenging task, which Constanze Hufenbecher also took on during the demanding time of the coronavirus pandemic and the integration of Cypress. The outstanding results of her work have strengthened Infineon’s competitiveness and laid important foundations for the company’s continued profitable growth. The Supervisory Board would like to thank Constanze Hufenbecher very much for her achievements and her great personal commitment.”
“Constanze Hufenbecher has been instrumental in the good progress of Infineon in the areas of digitalization and sustainability,” says Jochen Hanebeck, CEO of Infineon. “The Digital Agenda, which was developed under her leadership, is an important factor in enabling Infineon to achieve its ambitious company targets. In addition, she has driven our sustainability strategy by among other things converting our sites to green electricity. I would like to personally express my sincere thanks to Constanze Hufenbecher for her achievements.”
“I am very grateful to have been able to play a key role in shaping Infineon’s digital and green transformation together with my team and dedicated colleagues from across the organization,” says Constanze Hufenbecher, CDTO. “I am proud of what we have achieved and will continue all initiatives and projects with full commitment until the end of my contract. The decision to leave Infineon was not an easy one for me to make, but at the same time I am looking forward to new professional challenges. I would like to sincerely thank my colleagues on the Management Board, the entire management team and all employees for their trust, their openness to new approaches and for the great cross-divisional collaboration. Together, we have built a strong foundation so that Infineon will continue to be a champion in digitalization and sustainability in our industry.”
Constanze Hufenbecher took over the new Management Board position of Digital Transformation at Infineon in April 2021. She was previously a member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Technik AG (2016 to 2020) and held various management positions, e.g. at the Bertelsmann Group. She had already worked at Infineon from 2004 to 2009. After graduating in business administration, she began her career in 1994 at VIAG AG in Munich.
