With the EA DOG series, DISPLAY VISIONS offers particularly energy-efficient chip-on-glass LCDs for industrial equipment, measuring systems and controls. The assortment of displays combines a compact design with an exceptionally low current consumption from just 150 µA. This makes the modules suitable for battery-powered devices, mobile measurement systems and energy-efficient controls. This also applies to displays and systems used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The exceptionally low power consumption of the EA DOG series can make a valuable contribution to the development of equipment used in potentially explosive environments which is required to comply with ATEX requirements. Typical areas of application include mining, the chemical industry and environments with explosive gas or dust atmospheres. Due to their exceptionally low power consumption, the displays offer an attractive basis for corresponding equipment concepts and support the realisation of energy-efficient operating and display units.
The product range includes text displays from 1×8 to 4×20 characters as well as graphic displays with resolutions from 102×64 to 240×128 pixels. Developers can choose from 12 different display sizes from 1.7 to 3.9 inches and combine them with various backlights. The available options include white, blue, amber, yellow-green and RGB backlights. The displays can be optionally equipped with a touch panel.
The modules have SPI and I²C interfaces for integration into contemporary electronics platforms. They are operated with 3.3 V DC. The chip-on-glass technology enables particularly flat and space-saving designs. At the same time, the long-term availability of the series ensures investment and planning security for industrial products that have long life cycles.
