Gallium-nitride (GaN) power semiconductors are currently the tool of choice to significantly increase the power density of DC/DC converters or onboard charge units. Finepower is now offering GaN switches from its partner VisIC Technologies. The Israeli semiconductor maker has decades of experience in the development of semiconductors based on GaN. Thanks to their low RDS(on), their safe normally-off GaN components are characterized by short switching times and very low switching losses. They are robust and, due to their innovative housing design, discrete GaN switches can be thermally optimally integrated. VisIC Technologies is the only manufacturer globally to manufacture 1,200 V modules, among other types, based on GaN-HEMTs.
The distribution and engineering company Finepower has been engaged for more than 17 years in the sales and application of modern power electronics. In its own development department, power-electronics systems and modules are designed right up to the start of series production. A competent team of experienced field application engineers provides professional advice during procurement and production. At its sites in Germany and China, Finepower supports its customers in the European and Asian markets and provides a world-wide logistics service.
