Royonic workstation
For many years, the Royonic workstation was considered an indispensable tool in electronics manufacturing. However, with the triumph of SMT technology, it increasingly faded into the background. Today, the growing percentage of power electronics is once again driving demand for THT solutions, combined with the need for simple, robust systems that facilitate assembly, reliably prevent picking errors and enable quick training. This is why haprotec took inspiration from the tried-and-tested Royonic system and combined it with modern requirements. Existing Royonic containers can be easily reused with the Jonic’s 96 component compartments, which clearly protects your investment, reduces procurement costs and makes changeovers easier. The actual product change takes less than two seconds, completely without mechanics and without any loss of time. This minimizes set-up times and significantly increases productivity, which is an invaluable advantage, especially in dynamic production environments with frequently changing assemblies.
Terms of operation
The Jonic also impresses in terms of operation, as its ergonomic design and intuitive user guidance ensure maximum comfort and reduce error rates in the assembly process. ‘At the same time, the workstation can be perfectly combined with modern assistance systems such as pick-by-light or assembly AOI. This means that assembly instructions are projected directly into the worker’s field of vision, component removal is visually guided and errors are detected in real time. This represents an incredible advantage in terms of process reliability and quality,’ Bachmann continues. Its modular design makes Jonic extremely flexible. Whether for prototypes, small batches or series production, the system can be optimally adapted to individual requirements and can be further expanded if production requirements increase.
