The EA-TFT series display modules from DISPLAY VISIONS, featuring IPS technology, guarantee excellent readability even in very bright environments: with a remarkably high luminance of 1,100 cd/m2, the screen content even remains easy to read in direct sunlight.
The 4.3-inch display is ideal for industrial and medical applications and offers additional advantages beyond its exceptional brightness: the IPS technology means that it can be read from almost any angle without distortion or loss of contrast. The all-angle colour stability management (AACS) ensures that the colour reproduction remains consistent across the entire viewing angle range.
The IPS (in-plane-switching) technology is a special variant of TFT display technology. It results in a screen content contrast which is largely independent of the viewing angle. IPS displays achieve a usable viewing angle of approximately 85° from all directions – in comparison with 45° to 55° for conventional TFT displays.
Depending on the version, this component is available with a native SPI or RGB interface as well as 8-bit and 16-bit data bus interfaces. Designed for industrial use, the display operates within a temperature range of -20°C to +70°C, with some models supporting -30°C to +85°C. In accordance with its areas of use, the product will be available in stock on a long-term basis. With the optional USB test board, the display is ready for immediate use. With the startTFT.exe simulation tool, developers can configure and display their own images or rotate the screen content in 90° increments. Other test and adapter boards are also available for connection to various development environments.
