Mouser Electronics Now Shipping Renesas’ Ultra-Small DA14535 SmartBond TINY SoC, Ideal for Medical Disposables

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the DA14535 SmartBond TINY system-on-chip (SoC) from Renesas Electronics. The low-power, cost-effective DA14535 is one of the industry’s smallest and most power-efficient Bluetooth® 5.3 SoCs, enabling new classes of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, including the growing market for connected medical products.

Features

The DA14535 SmartBond TINY SoC, available from Mouser Electronics, achieves a low system cost through a high level of integration. The SoC is based on a 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M0+ microcontroller with a complete set of analog and digital peripherals and incorporates a 2.4 GHz transceiver in a minuscule form factor of just 2.2 × 3.0 mm. By adding just six external passives, a crystal oscillator, a power source, plus a 2.4GHz antenna, designers can build a complete Bluetooth Low Energy system for applications such as asset tracking and proximity tags, wireless sensor nodes, wearables, medical, human interface devices (HID), industrial appliances, and more.

Mouser also stocks the DA14535MOD SmartBond TINY BLE 5.3 module, based on the DA14535 SoC. The low-power module is worldwide certified and features an integrated 1 Mbit NOR Flash, a 32 MHz XTAL and a printed antenna, enabling a faster time to market at reduced development costs.

The DA14535 SmartBond TINY development kits, also available at Mouser, enable rapid demonstration and evaluation of the DA14535 SoC and are available in USB and Pro versions. The DA14535 USB kit is a small, portable USB board with Bluetooth Low Energy technology, one mikroBUS connector, 2 Mbits of SPI flash, and an onboard DA14535 SoC. The DA14535 Pro kit includes a motherboard, a daughterboard with the DA14535 SoC, and a mini-USB cable. The kit’s extensive features include two mikroBUS header interfaces, Arduino Uno compatibility, and onboard 2-Mbit SPI data flash. The DA14535 Pro kit allows users to perform RF measurements using an embedded printed antenna and SMA connector capability.
