Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will showcase a wide range of innovative indoor assets tracking and connectivity solutions at Embedded World (Nuremberg, 11th-13th March 2025). Amongst the wide range of engaging demonstrations, visitors to Murata’s booth (4A-646) will be able to explore how the module Type 1WL EVK and smart badges are used to track indoor assets and people.
Those visiting Murata during the tradeshow will also be able to experience real-time tracking capabilities that combine high accuracy and reliability with low latency for the best user experience. This indoor asset tracking capability uses Bluetooth LE and LoRaWAN technology and is ideal for use in the construction industry for worker safety. It can also help with inventory and event management and can be used in retail and hazardous zones or restricted areas by providing real-time access notifications.
Murata will showcase the connectivity device that has been created in a strategic partnership with EchoStar Mobile, an EchoStar company (Nasdaq: SATS), and KYOCERA AVX, a market leader in multi-band antenna solutions, to bring a highly effective and unique satellite IoT connectivity solution to the European and North American markets. Designed for industries such as agriculture, smart metering, and asset tracking, the new satellite-enabled transceiver and antenna offer real-time, reliable connectivity from sleek, compact hardware that requires low power consumption.
The innovative solution combines EchoStar Mobile’s carrier-grade S-band uplink connectivity with Murata’s next-generation Type 2PT LoRa® connectivity module designed for long battery life, as well as KYOCERA AVX’s high-grade, circularly polarized antenna technology. Together, these components provide a compact hardware footprint, superior connectivity, power efficiency, and accessible pricing—enabling businesses across a wide range of industries to optimize operations while controlling costs.
Murata will also showcase two ultra-low power Wi-Fi HaLow™ modules (LBWA0ZZ2HK and LBWA0ZZ2HL) compliant with Sub-1 GHz (S1G) Wi-Fi standards across key regions, achieving high-speed communication over distances of more than 1km. The compact modules support high power at +23dBm (Type 2HK) and low power at +13dBm (Type 2HL) smart IoT applications. They can be used in consumer smart devices, such as connected smart homes and smart accessories, as well as for business and industrial applications, including access control, smart energy solutions, building automation, security cameras, infrastructure management, and medical devices.
Visitors will be able to see the new state-of-the-art hands-free access control supporting Aliro standard and integrating Murata UWB module type 2BP. This will simulate a smart locker with the detection if the user is accessing indoors or outdoors.
To address the need for elegant network deployment solutions, Murata will showcase their iSIM hardware solutions and the offerings of the recently announced ZENCROSS Alliance. By merging Murata’s low-power hardware with cellular connectivity, cloud services, and leading IoT device security from AERIS COMMUNICATIONS, an expert in cellular IoT solutions and a key member of ZENCROSS Alliance, ZENCROSS aims to ease the burden and costs of managing distributed IoT applications worldwide. The Murata-led ZENCROSS Alliance is enabling a revolutionary model offering physical modules combined with services. Together, Aeris and Murata have so far enabled Aeris IoT Watchtower as part of the services offered under ZENCROSS Alliance. Aeris IoT Watchtower combines zero trust security, malware protection and anomaly detection in a zero-touch solution, bringing modern IT security capabilities to the specialized environment of IoT with unparalleled operational simplicity and cost effectiveness.
Attendees will also be able to explore a wide range of new Murata demonstrations such as water saving, sanitising and monitoring, smart technology, and IoT.
Come to Booth 646 in Hall 4A to discuss your asset tracking and connectivity projects with Murata’s highly knowledgeable application engineering staff.
