Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the ANNA-B112 stand-alone Bluetooth® 5 module from u-blox. The ANNA-B112 module provides efficient, high-performance connectivity in an ultra-compact package. The Bluetooth Low Energy module is ideal for power-sensitive applications, including IoT, asset tracking, lighting, and metering.
The u-blox ANNA-B112 module, now available at Mouser, features Bluetooth 5 and an integrated Arm® Cortex®-M4 microprocessor with a floating point unit (FPU). The 6.5 × 6.5 × 1.2 mm system in package (SiP) allows for advanced Bluetooth capabilities in small devices without compromising performance or functionality. The ANNA-B112 module includes an integrated antenna providing a range of 160 m and an antenna pin for the design-in of an external antenna. Operating within a supply voltage range of 1.7V to 3.6V DC and a temperature range from -40 °C to +85°C, the ANNA-B112 module delivers reliable performance in various power and environmental conditions. The versatile module includes SPI, I2C, and I2S interfaces, as well as support for NFC, Bluetooth Mesh, AirFuel, and Apple HomeKit.
The ANNA-B112 module includes u-connectXpress software for simplified development and accelerated time to market; and may also be used as an open CPU solution to run customer application firmware. The u-connectXpress software provides support for u-blox Bluetooth Low Energy Serial Port Service, GATT client and server, beacons, NFC, Bluetooth mesh, and simultaneous peripheral and central roles, all configurable from a host via AT commands. With 512 KBytes of flash memory and 64 KBytes of RAM, the u-blox ANNA-B112 module provides superior capacity for customer applications running on the Bluetooth Low Energy stack.
The ANNA-B112 module is supported by the EVK-ANNA-B112 evaluation kits, also available from Mouser. The evaluation kits are offered in two variants, one designed to use the module’s integrated antenna and one designed to connect to an external antenna using an onboard antenna connector. The EVK-ANNA-B112 kits provide access to all 25 IO pins and interfaces available on the ANNA-B112 modules through a variety of connectors and interfaces. These interfaces include Arduino™ Uno R3 and Raspberry Pi header connectors.
