Mouser Electronics, Inc. announced it is stocking the new Panasonic PAN1322 Place & Play Bluetooth® Module from Panasonic Electronic Components, an all in one Bluetooth module with smartphone compatibility. The Panasonic Electronic Components PAN1322 Place & Play Bluetooth Module is smartphone compatible and supports Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) provides for data transfers as fast as 3Mbits/sec and the module can be programmed using standard modem commands using the AT command set. An onboard 2.4GHz transceiver and antenna frees engineers from having to do RF design. The module is based on a single chip Bluetooth solution that easily interfaces to most microcontrollers. While the BT 2.1 + EDR stack provides secure, reliable, high speed data connections, Secure Simple Pairing (SSP) allows for even faster connections and enforces data encryption for protection against man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks.
