New at Mouser: NXP Semiconductors RW612 Wireless Microcontroller for Matter, Industrial Automation and Smart Applications

The RW612 is a highly integrated, highly secure wireless MCU for smart home, gaming, industrial automation and smart accessory applications.
Features
The NXP RW612 wireless microcontroller, available from Mouser, is a Matter-compatible device enabling broader compatibility and connectivity with IoT devices and protocols sharing a single access point. Matter is a universal software layer and a new connectivity standard for IoT devices over Wi-Fi®, or Matter over Thread, offering a common, interoperable application layer across ecosystems and products. The RW612 MCU combines Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) 5.4 radios supporting a long-range, high-speed, 2 Mbit/s data rate with extended advertising, plus 802.15.4 support for tri-radio integration with the Thread mesh networking protocol and Zigbee® protocol. Mouser is now also shipping the RW610, which does not include 802.15.4 support.
The RW612 MCU is powered by a 260MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 core with Trustzone™-M, 1.2MB of on-chip SRAM, and a quad SPI interface with a highly secure, on-the-fly decryption engine for secure external flash access in a space and cost-efficient wireless MCU requiring only a single 3.3 V power supply. The integrated EdgeLock® Secure Enclave (Core Profile) offers secure boot, debug, firmware updates, and life cycle management, as well as hardware cryptography and a physically unclonable function (PUF) for secure key management. The RW612 is PSA Certified Level 3 and SESIP Assurance Level 3.
FRDM-RW612 development board
Mouser also offers the FRDM-RW612 development board, built on the FRDM platform, to accelerate rapid prototyping and development with the RW612 family of microcontrollers. The FRDM-RW612 provides easy access to MCU I/Os, peripherals, integrated serial interfaces, and external flash memory and includes an onboard MCU-Link debugger. Additional resources like NXP’s Expansion Board Hub and Application Code Hub, offering software examples, are accessible through the MCUXpresso Developer Experience.
