Mouser Electronics and Amphenol Host Roundtable Discussion on Smart Cabin Technologies in Modern Vehicles

by gabi

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorised global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, has partnered with Amphenol to offer the engineering community a new webinar, in the format of a roundtable discussion, called ‘Exploring Smart Cabin Technologies in Modern Vehicles’. The free webinar will take place on 10 December 2024 at 17:00 CET.

As digital cabin technologies advance, the demands placed on modern vehicles are becoming more complex. Engineers, designers, and automotive professionals are invited to join this interactive session, where experts from Amphenol will offer real-world solutions for overcoming challenges related to data transmission, connectivity, and system integration in smart vehicle cabins.

The webinar will explore how engineers can simplify the complexity of in-cabin systems by managing growing data and connectivity needs. Participants will discover how to boost digital cabin performance with high-speed, low-latency solutions that offer smooth data transmission. The discussion will also highlight how sensor technologies can be used to enhance safety through reduced direct driver interaction with in-cabin controls.

By attending this webinar, participants will discover more about:

  • Key factors driving the digital cabin transformation and how to address them.
  • Strategies for solving data transmission and connectivity challenges in vehicles.
  • How Amphenol’s range of connectors and sensors contribute to smarter, safer cabin designs, including:
    • RF AUTOMATE® Type A Mini-FAKRA Connectors, which provide reliable, high-frequency communication up to 15GHz and data rates as high as 20Gbps for in-cabin systems.
    • The Ve-NET™ Auto Multi-Gigabit Connector System, which enables high-speed data transmission (up to 10Gb/s), providing secure, reliable connectivity with a design that prevents mismating and contact pin damage.
    • ExtremePort™ Z-Link Connectors, which enable high-speed data transmission (up to 56Gbps PAM 4), providing a space-saving solution in applications such as in-vehicle networks, data centres and baseband units.
    • ZTP Thermopile IR Sensors, which enable non-contact temperature monitoring in climate control and occupant detection applications, offering stable infrared response without bias voltage.
    • Internal Embedded Chip Antennas provide reliable connectivity, supporting cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS protocols.
    • The low-power, compact T6743-40K-E Automotive CO2 Sensor, which monitors air quality, enabling automatic fresh air control and safety sensing for CO2 refrigerants in HVAC systems.

The webinar will be hosted by Mark Patrick, Director Technical Content EMEA, Mouser Electronics and feature Mike Comer, Director of Product Marketing & Business Development, Amphenol, Brian Engle, Director, Business Development – Electrification, Amphenol, and Koen Maddens, Global Automotive Solutions Architect, Amphenol, as guest speakers.
