Vector Informatik introduces the cube:tap interface, a new hardware solution for the development and test of 3GPP LTE-V2X (PC5)-based Car2X/V2X communication. The measurement hardware is optimally aligned with CANoe.Car2x or CANalyzer.Car2x enabling efficient validation of LTE-V2X ECUs for series production.
Thanks to its plug-and-play design, the cube:tap interface connects directly to the Vector tools CANoe.Car2x or CANalyzer.Car2x and is immediately ready for use – in both laboratory environments and real-world vehicle setups. Its flexibly configurable communication parameters cover European, US and Chinese standards, ensuring global applicability. An integrated GNSS receiver provides precise time and position data, which also serves to synchronize distributed measurement recordings – a key requirement for reliable post-analysis. Multiple virtual ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) stations can be simulated with just one device – ideal for replicating complex test scenarios and validating ECUs in cooperative transport systems.

Perfect interaction: Testing LTE-V2X applications with proven CANoe software and the new cube:tap interface (Image rights: Vector Informatik)
In combination with CANoe or CANalyzer, the cube:tap interface forms a powerful solution for analyzing and testing LTE-V2X applications. It can be operated in parallel with the proven VN4610 interface for DSRC-based applications. With this end-to-end V2X test tool chain, Vector offers a future-proof extension to modern development environments.
