Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, is now stocking the Agilex 3 FPGA C-Series development kit from Altera®. The development kit features a compact tabletop form factor, and an optional daughter card enables the card to plug into a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. The versatile, power-efficient board is ideal for embedded design applications in the industrial, medical, video, and security industries.
The Agilex 3 FPGA C-Series development kit, now available at Mouser, includes an extensive range of features and connectors for edge and embedded applications. The kit offers DisplayPort 1.4 interfaces that support up to 8K video, MIPI connectors for mobile device cameras and displays, and LPDDR4 memory for efficient performance. The Agilex 3 FPGA C-Series Development Kit allows connectivity to additional peripherals and devices through Raspberry Pi hardware, attached on Top (HAT) add-on boards and Pmod connectors. The kit also includes an onboard USB Blaster III for FPGA programming and configuration, streamlining the development experience.
Features
The development kit is based on Altera’s Agilex 3 FPGAs and SoC FPGAs. The Agilex 3 FPGAs and SoC FPGAs bring high performance to power- and cost-efficient designs with Hyperflex™ FPGA architecture and advanced transceiver technology. Agilex 3 devices also feature a novel Enhanced DSP (Digital Signal Processing) with an AI tensor block. The AI tensor capabilities allow developers to accelerate compute for pre-trained AI models with less power and logic utilization compared to traditional FPGA fabrics. The Agilex 3 family features a state-of-the-art security module with encryption, authentication, and tamper protection. Typical applications include smart factory automation, EV charging, video processing, and medical imaging. Select Agilex 3 devices, can migrate from the Agilex 5 FPGA family, to provide customers options to scale their device selection based on their performance, power, and capability requirements. In addition, software tools enable access to Agilex 3 C-Series and Agilex 5 E-Series devices at no cost in the latest version of Quartus® Prime Design Software.
