Advantech, the global leader in embedded computing for the regulated gaming industry, announces two new platforms at G2E Las Vegas 2025 (Booth #3230) – the DPX®-S460 and the DPX®-M280 powered by AMD Ryzen Embedded 8000 APU. Both platforms extend Advantech’s field-proven DPX® product line, offering higher performance, broader graphics capabilities, and integrated features tailored for slot machines, sports betting, betting terminals, and amusement devices.
New Gaming Platform Supporting Edge AI Applications
The DPX®-S460 is the latest addition to the DPX®-S Series and introduces the AMD Ryzen™ Embedded 8000 Series APU featuring Zen 4 CPU cores, Radeon™ RDNA 3 graphics, and an integrated XDNA AI neural processing unit (NPU). This combination delivers powerful graphics rendering and enables advanced edge AI applications. The platform supports up to four independent 4K display outputs and accommodates both ECC and non-ECC DDR5 memory, offering flexibility for diverse system requirements. Fully compatible with existing DPX® S-Series platforms, the S460 ensures a straightforward upgrade path for OEMs. In addition, it features a full set of I/O interfaces for gaming devices, with a PCIe x16 Gen 4 slot to support discrete graphics cards available from Advantech.
New Multi-media Gaming Platform for Sports Betting
Another new product debuted at G2E is the DPX®-M280, a compact gaming platform built on the AMD Ryzen™ Embedded 8000 Series SoC, delivering modern multi-core compute paired with high-efficiency integrated Radeon graphics. Designed for space-constrained cabinets, it balances performance with an optimized power profile while retaining headroom for expansion to meet diverse content and compliance needs. The platform supports up to four independent 4K outputs via DisplayPort and offers a broad range of gaming-specific I/O and modular expansion options suited to betting terminals and amusement devices. DPX-M280 also has PCIe x16 Gen 4 expansion slot for applications requiring discrete graphics cards. Backed by a long lifecycle roadmap, the DPX®-M280 provides OEMs with a stable, cost-effective foundation for compact systems that still demand robust graphics and reliable operation.
Both platforms are equipped with Advantech’s comprehensive suite of gaming-specific software solutions, including security, media validation kit, SAS support, and diagnostics SDK. These integrated features ensure compliance with industry standards while providing OEMs with robust tools to streamline development, enhance system reliability, and accelerate time-to-market.
