ADIN6310 – The first in a series of Deterministic Edge Ethernet Switches

To Address the Needs of the Industrial Network of the Future

by gabi

Industrial automation is in an era of transformation, due to the increased operational efficiency made possible by AI, the convergence of IT and OT systems to remove data islands, and the need for distributed control, as flexible manufacturing demands solutions that can be adapted over time. These megatrends are driving the need for more data, pushing connectivity and processing to the industrial edge. ADI is delivering the ethernet connected future today.

ADI is enabling ubiquitous access to data across the industrial market with the launch of the ADIN6310. The ADIN6310 provides a flexible switch platform which enables customers to select the optimal processor and physical layer technology for their application, as well as Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) which enables ubiquitous access to data and unlocks insights to boost productivity. TSN facilitates a single converged network where both real-time, mission critical and non-real time data co-exist. Accelerated Redundancy features allow for seamless failover and increased network uptime, while the packet assist engine offloads the host processor / controller from compute intensive tasks. The ADIN6310 reduces development time and scales dynamically as our customer’s industrial connectivity systems become more complex.

This new product has broad market appeal and potential impact across sectors such as Industrial and Process Automation, Energy, Motion Control & Robotics, Instrumentation, Building Automation, and Transportation.

The ADIN6310 will be on show in the demo titled “Industrial Network of the Future” at SPS 2024 (Hall 5, Stand 110). Additionally, ADI expert Volker Goller will be holding 2 sessions on “Evolution of Industrial Ethernet Topologies” on this topic at both SPS 2024 and electronica 2024.
