TE Connectivity HDC Floating Charge Connectors for AGV/AMR Charging and Warehouse Automation Apps, Now at Mouser

by gabi

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest electronic components and industrial automation products, is now stocking the HDC floating charge connectors for AGV/AMR charging from TE Connectivity. With the rise of smart factories (Industry 4.0) and the need for a reliable, heavy-duty connector (HDC) that can automatically and efficiently charge Autonomously Guided Vehicles (AGV) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) for a variety of warehouse automation applications, TE Connectivity has answered the call with its ingenious hybrid design HDC Floating Charge Connectors.

The TE Connectivity HDC floating charge connectors, available from Mouser Electronics, feature a size-reduced hybrid design and clever floating system that enables AGV/AMRs to correct mating positions automatically. The connectors’ hybrid power and signal design consist of two 250 V, 80 A power pins with a rated impulse voltage of 4.0 KV and four 60 V, 10 A signal pins with a rated impulse voltage of 1.5 KV. The floating design provides a 0.5 mm tolerance. The hybrid nature of these connectors allows their compact design to help meet reduced package size, space consumption, and weight requirements to help enable the miniaturization of vehicles even in the toughest of industrial environments. Combined with the connector’s ability to connect and disconnect at up to 30,000 mating cycles, the TE HDC floating charge connectors offer an extremely reliable and capable solution.

From a safety and regulatory standpoint, the HDC floating charge connectors from TE provide finger-touch protection from safety operations in the field, and each connector is UL 1977, TUV and CE certified. The devices are also EN 61984, IEC 60068, IEC 60512, IEC 60529, IEC 60664-1, EN 61373 and ISO 6988 compliant.

The TE Connectivity HDC floating charge connectors are now available from Mouser Electronics in various options, including male or female inserts, male or female power contacts, and male or female signal contacts. These ROHS-compliant, heavy-duty power connectors are ideally suited for warehouse automation applications and AGV and AMR application demands for the mechanized, self-powered transportation of goods.
