Mouser Electronics Now Shipping Renesas RX23W BLE Module for IoT System Control

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the RX23W module with built-in antenna and oscillator from Renesas Electronics. The compact 6.1 mm × 9.5 mm module offers full Bluetooth® 5.0 Low Energy support for system control and wireless communication on Internet of Things (IoT) endpoint devices.

The Renesas RX23W module, available from Mouser Electronics, incorporates the RX23W microcontroller to support full Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy communication, including long-range and 2 Mbps data throughput and a reception sensitivity level of −105 dBm at 125 kbps. The module is available with Renesas’ exclusive security function, the Trusted Secure IP, which provides robust protection against threats such as eavesdropping, tampering, and viruses. And with Radio Law (Japan), FCC/ISED (North America), CE (Europe), and Bluetooth SIG certifications, the RX23W module removes the need for additional RF design work, tuning, or specialized RF knowledge, shortening new product development time.

Applications for the RX23W module include healthcare, smart home appliances, building automation, PC and smartphone peripherals, industrial and IoT designs. For development, Mouser also stocks the RX23W Module Target Board, which incorporates the RX23W module, two 36-pin headers for access to all signals, and a USB port for PC connectivity for programming and debugging.
