Expandable, fanless, high-performance – the new DIN rail PC from ICP

The expandable concept of the new fanless DIN-rail embedded PC DRPC-230-ULT5 from ICP Germany enables a wide range of applications. The expandability of the DRPC-230-ULT5 is realized on the one hand by the PCIe expansion box, on the other hand by the internal power supply which is suitable for a variety of add-on cards. Thus, PoE cards of the GPOE series or AI accelerator cards of the Mustang series required for machine vision applications can be used. For automation applications DAQ cards, measurement cards, digital IO cards, etc. can be used. The DRPC-230-ULT5 is available in three versions. The basic system is offered with an Intel® CoreTM i5-8365UE or a Celeron® 4205U processor of the 8th generation. The DRPC-230 is pre-equipped with 8GB DDR4 RAM, which can be expanded up to 32GB. The basic housing measures 190x150x81 mm and offers space for a 2.5″ drive bay, a Mini-PCIe slot, a M.2 2230 slot and a SIM card slot. Three Intel GbE network interfaces, four RS-232/422/485 as well as two RS-232 communication interfaces, 8-bit GPIO, one lockable HDMI port, one DisplayPort, and depending on the CPU variant USB2.0 and six or four USB 3.2 Gen2 interfaces are available. The somewhat larger third variant with docked PCIe box has a total size of 190x150x127 mm and additionally offers a PCI Express x4 slot for plug-in cards. The internal power supply delivers up to 60 watts of power, sufficient for a variety of expansion cards. The DRPC-230 can be supplied with an input voltage of 12V~24VDC via the three-pin terminal block. To protect its data, the DRPC-230 can be equipped with an optional TPM 2.0 module. Thanks to an operating temperature range of -20°C ~60°C and its vibration resistance, the DRPC-230-ULT5 is particularly robust and can be used in a variety of applications. Upon customer request, ICP delivers the DRPC-230-ULT5 pre-assembled and with integrated operating system as a ready-to-use system.
