element14 Community launch new eBook: What You Need To Know About 5G

11 MAY 2020

The transition to new fifth-generation networks (5G), will affect how we use smartphones and many other devices. Think about a world in which not just people but everything is connected: cars that converse with each other to avoid accidents; doctors to the personal medical devices of their patients; and much more is set to be delivered via the 5G wireless network, which promises to transform our lives.

There’s no shortage of speculation related to the arrival of 5G but what exactly is it? In an effort to educate and raise awareness of 5G, element14 Community has published a new eBook: “What You Need To Know about 5G.”

The element14 Community eBook seeks to support anyone who wants to know more about 5G. The eBook covers the basic concepts, the 1G to 5G evolution, a comparison between different generations of cellular technology, and potential 5G applications.

Dianne Kibbey, Head of Community and Social Media for element14 said: “The element14 Community aims to support engineers throughout their careers, and provide a range of ways in which they can develop their skills and refresh their knowledge. Our latest eBook gives a great introduction to 5G and explains what this next revolution-in-the-making has to offer.”
