PoE Upgrade for the AFOLUX GEN III series

The proven AFOLUX GEN III series from ICP Germany now has a PoE upgrade option with the new edition. Via an optional PoE module, PoE functionality is added to a GbE LAN interface and the AFL3 becomes a Powered Device. In this way, the 10.1″ to 15.6″ panel PCs can be operated without an additional power supply and process data simultaneously. Power over Ethernet according to IEEE802.3at or bt standard is supported. This requires that the feeding network provides up to 30W or 60W to supply the AFL3-AL with sufficient power.

The AFL3-AL series is equipped with capacitive touch (PCT) as well as anti-glare and anti-UV protection. Inside it works an Apollo Lake Intel® Celeron® J3455 processor with max. 8GB DDR3L memory. A 2.5″ SATA 6Gb/s hard disk frame and an M.2 slot are available for data storage. Optionally, the M.2 slot serves as an E-Window extension for implementing additional interfaces such as LAN, DLAN, Profibus or EtherCAT. Depending on the display size, one RS-232/422/485, one RS-232, two USB 3.1, two USB 2.0 and one HDMI are available. The AFL3-AL is equipped with a WiFi kit and integrated Bluetooth 4.1 as standard and offers a wide range of mounting options from panel and wall mounting to VESA mounting. The filigree housing design has been retained so that the AFL3-AL series is still suitable for use in a temperature range of -20~+50°C and can be operated with 9~30V. ICP offers suitable switches and inverters that support the Ethernet standards IEEE802.3at/bt so that nothing stands in the way of the PoE upgrade of the AFL series.
