JJS Electronics, The Paragon Electronics Group’s EMS specialists, reports rise in demand for box-build assembly

28 FEBRUARY 2011

JJS Electronics, part of the £30m Paragon Electronics Ltd Group, has reported a significant increase in demand for its sophisticated box-build assembly solutions, as the EMS sector is tipped to return to double-digit growth in 2011. Since the start of the year, JJS has recorded a significant increase in enquiries for its unique combination of electronics, electrical, mechatronics and top-end configure-to-order services from OEMs in the UK and beyond.
JJS Electronics’ unique business model is equipped to meet a wide variety of electronics manufacturing challenges. Harnessing the strength of the £30m Paragon Electronics Group, JJS’ track record of providing a fully procured, end-to-end service is currently attracting the attention of leading OEMs. JJS Electronics’ state-of-the-art facilities in the UK and Central Europe enable the EMS company to maintain a high level of flexibility to respond to its customers’ diverse business requirements. Coupled with a broad manufacturing base, JJS delivers PCB assembly, large-scale integration, custom system integration and configure-to-order manufacturing. The company also delivers a range of DFM/DFT, engineering services, prototyping and direct order fulfilment from its facilities in the UK and The Czech Republic.

Commenting on the rising demand for its EMS offering, JJS Electronics Ltd’s Commercial Director, Stephen Greaves, explains: “We’re all familiar with the expression ‘don’t put all your eggs in one basket’. However, as the industry emerges from the downturn, we’re seeing the phrase ‘put all your eggs in one basket, and watch that basket’ proving to be far more effective for our customers. Our rare blend of expertise and resources – not only in the UK but in Central Europe – means that our team can not only deliver box-build assembly reliably, efficiently and at a reduced time to market, but also, at the best value. This is a major driver for our customers’ ability to compete, across Europe, in resurging markets.”

Recent demand for the JJS offering is attributed in part to the company’s size and ability to bring all key EMS disciplines together as one supplier. Stephen adds: “Typically, we’re approached by OEMs requiring manufacturing partners for low-medium volume/high complexity products – and they’re often pleasantly surprised to find an EMS company that can take care of the project from start to finish without compromise. Drawing on the supply chain management expertise of our sister company, Paragon Electronic Components, our team is able to partner with these OEMs to improve their time to market, enhance their manufacturing flexibility, reduce inventory liability and simplify their supply chain.”
