New: Power Integrations HiperPLC Family

Power Integrations, one of the leading manufacturers of AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion ICs expands his wide range of products with the power area from 150 to 500W with the new HiperPLC Family. The new and highly integrated family offers the possibility to build a fully resonant circuiry (ZVS) with extremely low component count.
The IC contains a Continous Mode PFC and LLC Controller with integrated 800V high- and lowside drivers for the external Mosfets. Due to the ZVS switching losses are avoided and the cooling is minimized.
For better EMI results both controllers are working frequency and phase synchronized. The resulting ripple current in the PFC capacitor is significant smaller and allows to use a smaller one.
The switching frequency varies between 50kHz and 300kHz depending on the load. The typical Duty Cycle is 50%, which results in lower stress for the secondary output diodes and means no oversizing at the end.
All necessary protection functions are on board. The HiperPLC Family in a 24-Pin-Dip package is now available at the MSC Vertriebs GmbH. For samples, datasheet and more information please contact:
