Win a Microchip MCP9600 Evaluation Board

1 AUGUST 2017

Win a Microchip MCP9600 Evaluation Board (ADM00665) from Electronica Azi International.

The MCP9600 Evaluation Board is used to digitize the Thermocouple EMF voltage to degree Celsius with +/-1ºC accuracy. The device also supports Types J, T, N, E, B, S and R. Each of these types are evaluated by replacing the Type K Thermocouple connector with the corresponding connectors (not included).  The evaluation board connects to PC via USB interface. Temperature can be data-logged using Microchip Thermal Management Software Graphical User Interface (GUI).

The MCP9600 converts thermocouple EMD to degree Celsius with integrated Cold-Junction compensation. This device corrects the thermocouple types and outputs +1.5C accurate temperature data for selected thermocouple.

The MCP9600 digital temperature sensor comes with user-programmable registers which provide design flexibility for various temperature sensing applications. Temperature can be data-logged using Microchip Thermal Management Software Graphical User Interface (GUI).

The MCP9600 includes a temperature-data digital filter, which minimizes the effects of temperature fluctuations, system noise and electromagnetic interference. Its shutdown modes reduce overall system power consumption, while its four user-programmable temperature-alert outputs reduce the system microcontroller’s overhead and code space, while further simplifying designs. Finally, the MCP9600 comes in a 5×5 mm, 20-lead mQFN package, which further reduces board area.
